- edited September 2013Yup, after the latest patch this happened to me...
- edited September 2013I have the same problem with the map. I am at turn 120 Extreme graphics options, 1080p 19fps basically a slide show. The kicker is when I turn the graphics to low I don't get any fps increase basically from low to extreme I get the same FPS.

Campaign map big issue (the more you conquer the lower fps/gpu usage
3770k
ram 16
gtx 680
win 7 64
res 1080p
beta 1.5 (no difference with last patch on map) Big improvement in battles GPU 80-99% usage
res 1080p Extreme graphics options
turn 1 gpu usage 85% 80fpsSwitching from extreme to low around 120fps
turn 75 gpu usage 55-60% 40fpsSwitching from extreme to low around 60 fps
turn 116 gpu usage 44-50% 20 fpsSwitching from extreme to low 20 fps (SAME FPS NO INCREASE)
The more you conquer/open map the worse the fps and gpu usage on campaign map. It looks like on turn 116 my cpu is doing all the work while my GPU is barely utilized. - Senior MemberNorway, BrønnøysundPosts: 3,921Registered UsersDoes this happen when you select a unit and get the yellow movement zone?
Because that's the only time the campaign map stutters for me. And it stutters quite a lot.
Same bug came early in Empire TW, and early in Shogun 2.
Something about how the game calculates that yellow 'movement zone' is killing performance for me.
Otherwise the campaign map is fluid. - edited September 2013This issue happened to me too.
It was resolved when I installed the new AMD driver 13.10 that came out a few days ago, see:

This is exactly it I think. As soon as I started to get a mad swole empire, the campaign map lag started with no additional issues in battle.I have the same problem with the map. I'm guessing it is some **** CPU optimization issue since like you, putting my settings to low doesn't do **** on the campaign map. If we are getting single digit FPS because of a 3770k, then what ******g processor do we have to buy? ****
Although by looking at all of my monitoring programs, my CPUs aren't being fully used above 50%. Rome barely pushes their temps above idle so they can't be being used. - edited September 2013
Nah, it is the campaign map as a whole. I mean it stutters a bit when I select a dude, but him responding to movement/the actual movement is getting more and more jagged.Does this happen when you select a unit and get the yellow movement zone?

I've been using the 13.10This issue happened to me too.

It's bad optimization and there is no excuse. I posted on the forums and sent pm's to CA and not a word back or even acknowledgment that CA knows about this issue. Next week is going to be two weeks since release and the game is still not optimized. - Junior MemberPosts: 4Registered UsersYup, Before the patch i was getting 60fps in the campaign map, then after the patch 20fps. And to top it off i have seen absolutely no improvement in the battle map...
i7-920 @ 2.7 ghz
12GB of ram
gtx 770 SC 2GB
Win 8 64 bit
1080p
Ultra settings.
This has been an absolutely horrible experience... I think Im gonna wait it out next time. At least until the game is on a Steam Sale, because this is not worth the money i paid for it.
How to insert or update data into a map.
If a table specifies a map to hold data, then either
INSERT
or UPDATE
is used to enter data.- Set or replace map data, using the
INSERT
orUPDATE
command, and enclosing the integer and text values in a map collection with curly brackets, separated by a colon.Note: UsingINSERT
in this manner will replace the entire map. - Use the
UPDATE
command to insert values into the map. Append an element to the map by enclosing the key-value pair in curly brackets and using the addition (+) operator. - Set a specific element using the
UPDATE
command, enclosing the specific key of the element, an integer, in square brackets, and using the equals operator to map the value assigned to the key. - Delete an element from the map using the
DELETE
command and enclosing the specific key of the element in square brackets: - Alternatively, remove all elements having a particular value using the UPDATE command, the subtraction operator (-), and the map key values in curly brackets.
